Choosing the optimal treatment for your early-stage breast cancer is clearly one of the most important decisions you will make. With information specific to your individual cancer, you and your doctor can make an informed treatment decision that is tailored for you. There is a test called Oncotype DX®, from Genomic Health, that is designed to measure how likely your breast cancer is to come back, or recur. This test can also provide you with information about the likelihood that you will benefit from chemotherapy. This information can help you and your doctor make a more personalized treatment decision.

Is The Oncotype DX Test Right For Me?

If you are a woman who has recently been diagnosed with Stage I or II, node-negative, estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer, the Oncotype DX test may be appropriate for you. However, the decision to use the Oncotype DX test is one that you and your doctor should discuss and make together.
